The industry is a small-scale green category unit and is proposed to establish poultry farm of capacity 20,000 Birds Number/Year. The industry has applied for obtaining Consent to Establish/NOC for the establishment of the poultry farm under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The application was scrutinized and it was found that the industry has submitted all the required documents such as DPR, Proprietorship Certificate, Tehsildar Report, etc. The Poultry Farm has submitted Site Map showing 10m distance from shed to boundary wall. The Poultry Farm has also submitted Tehsildar report stating as under:
1. 500 m from residential zone in order to avoid nuisance caused due to odour & flies.
2. 100 m from major water course like River, Lakes, canals and drinking water source like wells, summer storage tanks, in order to avoid contamination due to leakages/spillages, if any.
3. 100 m from national Highway (NH) and 50 m from State Highway (SH)in order to avoid nuisance caused due to odour& flies.
4. 10-15 m from rural roads/internal roads/village pagdandis.
The industry has also deposited Rs. 2,700/- vide R. No. 107128334 dated 14.12.2025 as Consent to Establish/NOC fees under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The site of the industry was visited by the undersigned on 30.12.2025 and it was observed as under:
1. The poultry farm was under establishment and is under construction.
2. No shed is operational yet for storage of birds. The industry has provided plantation at boundary wall.
3. The industry has also dig pits for disposal of dead birds as per the guidelines issued by the Board.
4. The industry is also proposed to construct septic tank for the treatment of domestic effluent and then to discharge it onto land for plantation as per the application. No trade effluent is to be generated as per the process and DPR submitted.
5. The siting criteria has been physically been verified during the visit.
The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to Establish/NOC may be granted to the Project Proponent for establishment of poultry farm of capacity 20,000 Birds Number/Year for one year with special conditions as under:
1. The project proponent will establish poultry farm unit in area 24 kanal 1 marle Khewat No. 43/35 Khatoni No. 48 Khasra No. 10//13/2(4-0), 10//14(8-0), 10//15(4-0), 10//16(8-0), 10//25/1(0-1) Village Anaitpur Tehsil Khadur Sahib District Tarn Taran.
2. The Project Proponent will not start operating its unit without obtaining consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 from the Board.
