Consent fee detail:
CA Certificate Rs. 178.98 Lakhs as on 01/12/2025 as per CA certificate dated 11/12/2025.
Cost of Plant & Machinery Rs. 130.92 Lakhs
Fee deposited Air consent fee: Rs. 42000/- vide Receipt No. 970843718 dated 25/12/2025.
Water consent fee: Rs. 42000/- vide UTR No. 620090079 dated 25/12/2025.
Adequacy of consent fee The consent fee is adequate upto 31/08/2030 under the both acts as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018.
Analysis Report:
The industry has submitted stack emission sampling report dated 02.12.2025 from a NABL Accredited Laboratory in the name of M/s Evapo Tech and as per analysis results the concentration of SPM is analysed as 48 mg/Nm3, which is within the permissible limit as prescribed by CPCB as well as the Board. Air Pollution Control Device:
The industry has installed Bag house filter with the induction furnace having capacity of 200 kg/heat as APCD and has provided completion certificate from Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) vide no. PSCST/TFO/140 dated 14.10.2025. (Copy enclosed)
Site Suitability:
The industry has submitted a copy of revised CLU/Classification for establishment of an Induction furnace from the District Town Planner Ludhiana in the name of M/s Bharat Cast and Forge, Village Bhadla Neecha, Tehsil Khanna, Distt. Ludhiana vide letter no. 3108 DTP(L)/M2A dated 26.11.2025 having Hadbast No. 213 for a land area of 0.83 acres which is situated in industrial zone according to the master plan of Khanna. Hence, the site is suitable.
As the site falls in the Industrial Zone as per the notified Master Plan of Khanna, in which, any type of industrial activity is being carried out, therefore, the site is suitable for the establishment/operation of Induction Furnace unit.
Visit:
To verify the contents of the application the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 02/12/2025. During the visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed 1 no. induction furnace of capacity for manufacturing of Alloy & Non-Alloys Steel Castings @ 200 kg/day, by using Melting Scrap @ 1.0 MT/Day as raw material.
3. The industry has provided spark arrestor followed by bag filter house as APCD.
4. The industry has installed energy meters on its APCD.
5. The industry has installed 1 no. D.G. set of capacity 62 KVA with canopy and stack of adequate height.
6. The industry has installed 1 no. submersible pump in its premises.
7. Domestic effluent being generated by the industry is discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.
8. The industry has installed water meter on its submersible pump.
9. No water will be used in the process, therefore, there will be no generation of trade effluent.
PWRDA Permissions:
The industry has mentioned the ground water abstraction @ 5 KLD. Considering30 working days in a month, the total ground water abstraction will be 150 KL/Month. As such, the industry is not required to obtain permission from PWRDA.
Recommendations:
In view of above mentioned facts, if approved, recommendations may be sent SEE, ZO-2, Patiala that fresh consent to operate under the provision of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 upto 31/08/2030 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 31/08/2030 with suitable conditions and special conditions as under:
1. The industry shall be liable to comply with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
2. The industry shall comply with the guidelines/SOPs provided by PSCST, Chandigarh in the effective operation of APCD.
3. The industry shall not generate and discharge any kind of trade effluent.
4. The industry shall keep a qualified person to handle the operation and maintenance of the APCD.
