| Clarification Note: | The application of the industry has been scrutinized and observed that the earlier the industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for Washing of Denim Jeans / Fabric @ 2000 Nos/day with discharge of trade effluent @ 98 KLD & domestic effluent @ 02 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD. Whereas, now the industry has applied for obtaining consent to Operate for Washing of Denim Jeans / Fabric @ 2000 Nos/day & Tshirts @8000 nos./day with discharge of trade effluent @ 265 KLD & domestic effluent @ 02 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD. However, as per the last hearing given to the SPV on 06.05.2025 by the Competent Authority of the Board, it has been decided that no new NOC or NOC for expansion or varied consent to operate for increase in the discharge of trade effluent shall be granted to the member units connected with the CETP. Keeping in clarification is being raised to explain your position within 02 days in this regard that either expansion has been carried out or yet to be carried so that application can be processed further. |
