It is submitted that the project proponent was granted Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2024/24666626 dated 07.02.2024, valid till 31.12.2025 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2024/24666611 dated 07.02.2024, valid till 31.12.2025 for warehouse with certain conditions.
Now, the project proponent has applied Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for warehouse alongwith requisite documents.
As per record of this office, the consent fee under the Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 is adequate till 30.12.2026. Now, the project proponent has deposited Rs. 5100/- vide no. 821963758 dated 25.12.2025 under Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 4200/- vide R no. 50594746 dated 25.12.2025 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 against the assets of Rs. 77 lakhs (including annual rent of Rs. 67 lakhs) on 30.12.2027.
The project proponent has submitted compliance report of the previous Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 obtained by it.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office 08.01.2026 and during visit, it was observed as under:
1. The project is a warehouse and was in operation during the visit.
2. The project proponent has constructed 2 no. septic tank, after which domestic effluent is used onto green area within premises. However, the wastewater from the bathroom section was being directly discharged outside its premises causing stagnation.
3. The project proponent has installed any boiler, furnace, paint booth, powder coating etc., or any source of air pollution in its premises.
4. The industry has installed 02 no. DG sets of capacities 250 KVA & 180, which is provided with canopies and stack of adequate height. The industry has installed 3rd DG set of capacity 52.5 KVA with canopy and without stack height. The industry has also not provided hazardous waste storage room.
In view of above, it is recommended that show cause notice for refusal of Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued against the industry with an opportunity to submit reply within 7 days.
