It is submitted that the HCF has granted fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2023/23728870 dated 06.10.2023 and consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2023/23728869 dated 06.10.2023, valid upto 30.09.2028 under the name and style of M/s M S Multi-speciality Hospital, Tarn Taran Road, Amritsar for hospital @ 35 beds.
Now the HCF has applied fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 under the name and style of M/s Miri Piri Mission Hospital under Aegis of Bibi Kaulan Ji Hospitals Charitable Society (Formerly known as M S Multi-Speciality Hospital) Tarn Taran Road AMRITSAR for hospital @ 35 beds.
Detail of the case are as under: -
1. The hospital has deposited Rs. 10000/- vide Receipt No. 939038954 dated 26.12.2025 as consent fee under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 10000/- vide Receipt No. 273007138 dated 26.12.2025 as consent fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate up to 30/09/2030 under both Acts.
2. The hospital has submitted completion certificate of STP of capacity 15 KLD prepared by M/s NR Engineers, Amritsar.
3. The hospital has submitted lease deed, undertaking bed capacity, site plan, registration of society etc.
The Hospital was visited by undersigned on 09/01/2026 and observed as under: -
1. The Hospital comprising of 30 beds and is engaged in providing medical health services.
2. The HCF has provided color coded bins for segregation, collection of Bio-Medical Waste and segregation of Bio-Medical Waste was according to color codes.
3. The HCF has provided needle destroyer for shredding of needles.
4. The HCF is lifting its Bio-Medical Waste to CBMWTF and maintaining the record of the same.
5. The HCF has provided final collection room for storage of bio medical waste generated from its premises.
6. No Bio-Medical Waste found mixed with general waste.
7. The hospital has installed D.G. set of capacity 30 KVA, which is fitted with canopy and stack of adequate height.
The hospital is having bed capacity of 30 beds and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hospital up to 30/09/2030 under the name and style of M/s Miri Piri Mission Hospital under Aegis of Bibi Kaulan Ji Hospitals Charitable Society with suitable terms & conditions along with special conditions that: -
1. The hospital will get effluent sample (combined liquid and domestic effluent) analyzed from an approved lab of the Board within 01month.
2. The hospital will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office.
3. The HCF shall comply vide Head Office, no. 468 dated 31/08/2021 issued by Punjab Pollution Control Board.
