It is submitted that the analysis results of the effluent samples have been received and the analysis report is attached herewith. The effluent sample collected from the final outlet of the ETP shows the following results: pH – 8.3, TSS – 48 mg/l, TDS – 580 mg/l, COD – 128 mg/l, BOD – 26 mg/l and Oil & Grease – BDL. As per the applicable standards for Sugar Industry effluents under the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the prescribed limits are pH: 5.5–8.5, TSS: 100 mg/l (for disposal on land), BOD: 100 mg/l (for disposal on land), Oil & Grease: 10 mg/l and TDS: 2100 mg/l. It is observed that all monitored parameters are within the prescribed limits of the Board. .
….As per the observed violations and recommendations already recorded in the earlier note dated 29.12.2025, it is reiterated that
“In view of the above, it is recommended that Show Cause Notice for violations of the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry with an opportunity of personal hearing before the worthy Chairperson of the Board.” |
