The site of the industry was visited by officer of the board on 9.01.2026. During the visit, the industry was in operation and observed that
The industry has now upgraded its APCD attached to its 6TPH boiler by installing Multi cyclone followed by double stage water scrubber followed by stack of adequate height which is common with the 1.5 TPH boiler provided with twin cyclone separator. During the visit, the industry has submitted test report results for the stack emission samples of its 6 TPH boiler.(copy attached)
The industry has installed water meters at the inlet and outlet of the STP. The industry is maintaining the logbook for same. The RO permeate with water meter reading @697.2 KL is being used in the boiler and RO reject with water meter reading @3052.4 KL is being used for spraying on the Fuel ash storage shed.
The industry is maintaining record of STP operation in a separate register along with details of chemicals and activated bacteria culture used in the STP operation.
The industry is yet to obtain EPR registration for waste tyres as its CTO has expired.
The industry has installed hood with ducting system provided with dust collector and ID fan followed by stack of adequate height. The industry has made agreement for the disposal of fuel ash with Grewal Service, Chandigarh road, Mundian kalan Ludhiana which is valid upto 31.03.2027.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted for six months with special condition that :- 1. The industry shall obtain EPR for waste tyres as notified vide notification dated 21/7/2022 under the Hazardous and other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement ) Amendment Rules 2022, within one month. 2. The industry shall get its stack emission samples analyzed from the Board’s Lab within one month.
