As per RO report, the Industry has initiated the process of obtaining adequacy certificate from PSCST, Chandigarh. However, the industry in it reply has merely submitted its request to effect that technical fee has been paid to Punjab State Council for Science &
Technology for checking the adequacy of installed APCD with the existing induction
furnace and issue us feasibility report for up-gradation of air pollution control
system, accordingly for control of primary emission standards as prescribed by
the PPCB.
However , as per the policy and Board's order 15.06.2018 , the industry shall get its Air Pollution Control Device (APCD) alongwith its
collection system evaluated from Punjab State Council for Science & Technology,
Chandigarh regarding efficacy, alongwith the side hood design within 15 days.
After evaluation, APCD and its collection system including hood shall be upgraded
/replaced by the industry as per the advice of Punjab State Council for Science &
Technology by 31.07.2018.
May if approved, CTO under Air Act,1981 be refused and the unit be asked to obtain adequacy certificate from the PSCST within 15 days and shall reapply for the CTO .Further , RO be asked to send the report in this regard, and if the industry fails to submit the report from PSCST within stipulated time , it shall send report for taking action against the unit.
