It is submitted that the service station has granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2022/19904748 dated 20/10/2022 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2022/19905400 dated 20/10/2022, which were valid up to 30/06/2027 for Servicing of Vehicles @75Numbers/Day under the name and style of M/s A.n.r. Motors (p) Ltd., G.t. Road, Daburji,, Amritsar
Now the service station has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for Servicing of Vehicles @ 125 Numbers/Day under the name and style of M/s JPA Motors Private Limited G.T. Road, Daburji, Amritsar
Detail of the case are as under: -
1. The service station has submitted CA certificate dated 17.09.2025 which it is gross value of fixed assets of Rs. 16.46 Crore as on 31.05.2025. Accordingly, it has deposited Rs. 64800/- vide UTR No. ICICN42025100851543139 dated 09.10.2025 as consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs 500/- vide UTR No. ICICN42025100851543286 dated 09.10.2025 as application fee, Rs. 64800/- vide UTR No. ICICN42025100851543129 dated 09.10.2025 as consent fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Rs. 10800/- vide UTR No ICICN42025100851543280 dated 09.10.2025 as NOC fee, which it is adequate upto 30.06.2030 under both Acts.
2. The service station has already submitted building plan approved by Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar vide dated 08.10.2004
3. The service station has submitted detail of component of ETP as under: -
Grit Chamber – Oil & Grease Tank – Equalization Tank – Reaction cum settling tank – Sludge Drying bed – Media Filter – Chemical Dozing Tank – outlet
4. The service station has submitted compliance report of previous consents granted under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
5. The service station has submitted a copy of the Board Resolution passed in the meeting of the Board of Directors held on 23 December 2022, wherein it is stated that the properties are transferred from ANR Motors Private Limited to JPA Motors Private Limited.
The service station was visited by AEE of this office on 12/01/2026 and observed the following: -
1. The Auto Service Station is engaged in the sale & service of cars / vehicles of Toyota make.
2. The service station has provided ETP to treat its effluent being generated from washing section of four-wheeler and ETP was in operation at the time of visit. component of ETP as under: -
Grit Chamber – Oil & Grease Tank – Equalization Tank – Reaction cum settling tank – Sludge Drying bed – Media Filter – Chemical Dozing Tank – outlet
3. The treated trade effluent discharged onto the land for plantation inside the premises and partially reuses its treated washing effluent as told by the representative.
4. The auto service station has provided an EMF on the outlet of the ETP leading to the plantation area and energy meter to run the ETP and the record of the same has been maintained.
5. The auto service center has installed a paint booth, with bed scrubbers as APCDs along with stack of adequate height.
6. It is further intimated that the effluent samples from the final outlet of the ETP of the service station were collected by this office on 14/07/2025. As per analysis report received from Zonal lab, Jalandhar vide no. 1989-91 dated 30/07/2025, the concentration of various parameters of ETP i.e., pH=7.5, COD=80 mg/l, BOD=21 mg/l, TDS = 846 mg/l, TSS=19 and O&G BDL are within prescribed limits of the Board.
The process of the industry falls in orange category in small scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with The Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the service station for Servicing of Vehicles @ 125 Numbers/Day under the name and style of M/s JPA Motors Private Limited G.T. Road, Daburji, Amritsar up to 30/06/2030 with usual terms & conditions as per the policy of the Board along with special conditions that: -
1. The service station shall comply all the guidelines issued by Punjab Pollution Control Board/CPCB. |
