Sir, kindly peruse the note of AEE...................., additionally it is submitted that the present unit is a very tiny induction furnace plant having crucible capacity of 200 Kg/heat only, wherein manual feeding is done. Further, the industry uses only fresh scrap and accordingly PSCST Chandigarh has recommended canopy hood with elliptical cut followed by spark arrestor and Pulsejet bag filter as air pollution device for which it has obtained provisional completion certificate...............
As the furnace capacity is very small, this office is of the opinion that secondary emission system shall not be technically/economically feasible for such type of units........................... Therefore, it is recommended that fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry with suitable conditions and special condition that the industry shall explore the possibility to capture secondary emission, if any, after consulting PSCST, Chandigarh.
