1.....The industry has applied for CTO under the orange category No. 100...titled Aluminum & copper extraction from scrap using an oil-fired furnace (dry process only) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Whereas, industry as per RO report is using solid fuel ( Biomass briquettes)...........Thus, industry has applied under wrong category.............
2......The industry is using aluminum scarp as fuel...............Thus it is generating hazardous waste under category 11 of Schedule I of HWM Rules including Sludges from off-gas treatment ,cathode residues including pot lining residue, aluminum dross, aluminum skimming, Flue gas/APCD dust and other particulate etc.
The industry is operating for 5 years and it means disposing off hazardous waste through unauthorized means.
In above circumstances these consent applications cannot be considered.
Industry to comply with the above. ..........Issue notice for violation of HWM Rules immediately for non- compliance also
