File Note: Kindly peruse the note/report/recommendations sent by EE, RO, Patiala… The subject cited mall cum multiplex was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/PTA/2024/26520923 dated 04/09/2024 and under the Air Act, 1981videno. CTOA/Renewal/PTA/2024/26520513 dated 04/09/2024, both were valid upto 30/06/2025 subject to certain conditions as mentioned therein… Now, the project proponent has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents through OCMMS… RO has visited the site of the project and has reported that the mall is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act,1981… In view of above and report/recommendations sent by EE, RO, Patiala, if approved, consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act,1981 granted to the promoter may be renewed upto 30.06.2026, subject to suitable conditions, conditions as imposed by RO and following additional conditions: 1. The adequacy/ efficacy of the pollution control arrangements & disposal scheme/arrangements shall be the sole responsibility of the project proponent and the pp shall be bound to implement/ upgrade its pollution control & disposal arrangements as per the discretion of the Board to achieve the prescribed emission/ effluent standards, as amended from time to time. 2. The project has been approved by the Board from pollution angle and the industry shall obtain the statutory clearances/ permissions from all other concerned departments. 3. The project proponent shall ensure the compliance of provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/ or any other environmental law applicable to him and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time. 4. The consent is being issued to the project proponent based upon the documents/ information submitted by it along with the online application form and during hearing. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry/project proponent and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time, without any opportunity of Personal Hearing. 5. In case the project proponent fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/ or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the project proponent. *Competency: worthy Chairperson of the Board
