File Note: The application of the HCF has been scrutinized and it was found that the HCF has submitted all the required documents. The HCF is a 150 bedded hospital as per self-declaration submitted by the HCF. Earlier the HCF was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 vide certificate no.- CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2025/30073254 dated 07.11.2025 which is valid upto 06.02.2026. The HCF has also deposited authorization fee amounting Rs. 50,000/- vide Receipt no.-287209500 dated 06.09.2025 under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, which is adequate upto 30.09.2030. The HCF was visited by the officer of this office on 15.01.2026 and the effluent sample of the ETP cum STP was collected from its outlet and sent to the Zonal Lab, Ludhiana. The results of the same are awaited. During the visit, the following was observed: 1. The HCF has submitted the MOU signed with M/s Medicare Environmental Management Pvt. Ltd., Opp. Central Jail, Tajpur Road, Ludhiana for 150 beds, which is valid up to 31.03.2028. 2. The Bio-Medical Waste is being regularly lifted by CBWTF and the HCF has maintained the record of the same as the HCF has submitted the manifest slips record along with the application. The HCF is complying with the provisions of Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016. 3. The HCF has authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 which was granted vide authorization no.- BMW/Renewal/LDH3/2025/28270387 dated 23/04/2025, which is valid uptil 31/03/2027 for 150 beds capacity. 4. The HCF has installed a STP for treatment of liquid waste as well as domestic effluent generated. During the visit, the STP was in operation. Pretreatment is being done with 1% sodium hypochlorite solution. 6. The treated effluent is being discharged into the MC sewer. 7. The HCF has also provided 03 D.G. sets of capacity 250 KVA, 380 KVA and 400 KVA, all equipped with canopy . 8. The HCF is properly segregating bio-medical waste as per the provisions of BMW Rules, 2016 with color-coded bins and non chlorinated bags provided at various locations. 9. The HCF has provided a dedicated BMW storage room for waste collection having colour coded bins located outside the premises. 10. The HCF maintains comprehensive records and registers for staff immunization and training programs conducted for staff. 11. The pre-treatment of microbiology/blood bags is being conducted through autoclaving. 12. A BMW committee has also been constituted by the HCF. Competency: Senior Environmental Engineer
