It is submitted that the industry has granted consent to operate of the Board under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2024/25354710 dated 08-05-2024 valid upto 31.12.2026 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2024/25356910 dated 08-05-2024 valid upto 31-12-2026 for the manufacturing of products SHEET METAL PARTS/ASSEMBLY @ 900 number/day by using HRCR SHEET @ 1.5 TPD as raw material, source of water pollution are domestic effluent @ 1.8 KLD onto land for plantation and source of air pollution are 2 D.G sets of capacity 250 KVA & 125 KVA with canopies.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining NOC for expansion under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for increase its production capacity from SHEET METAL PARTS/ASSEMBLY @ 900 number/day to 1200 Number/day with requisite documents under green category. The industry has deposited Rs. 6400/- vide e-R No. 729005568 dated 09/01/2026 consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 26.20 Lacs (proposed) & Rs. 115 Lakh (existing) after expansion total cost will be 141.20 Lakh as per project report, which is adequate for one year, as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018.
The industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 15.01.2026 During the visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in manufacturing of SHEET METAL PARTS / ASSEMBLY using power presses, mig welding sets, buffing machine and other non-polluting machinery.
2. The industry has proposed to install 5 Power Press machines, 2 Welding machines, 1 D.G set of capacity 250 KVA.
3. The industry has already installed 2 D.G sets in its premises of capacity
4. The industry has started civil work regarding construction of new hall for expansion activities.
5. There is no generation of trade effluent from the process and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
The industry is located in the rental premises of M/s Mehta Automotive Pvt. Ltd. The industry has also submitted the rent deed between M/s Mehta Automotive Pvt. Ltd., and M/s Ravpro Industries Pvt. Ltd. dated 25.01.2024.
The industry has submitted the certificate issued by DTP, Ludhiana issued to M/s Mehta Automotive Pvt Ltd. (Land owner) vide letter no. 1345 dated 30.5.2018 in which stated that the site of the industry falls in Industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana ( 2007-2031) as proof of area classification of the site.
In the subject cited case, the industry has mentioned ground water extraction @ 2.0 KLD. Considering 25 working days per month, ground water extraction will be 50 KL/month, which is less than 300 KL/month.
It is therefore recommended that Consent to Establish under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year with suitable conditions and special condition that the industry will submit revised building plan on the name of M/s Ravpro Industries Pvt. Ltd. at the time of Consent to operate of the unit.
