The Govt. of India, MoEFCC vide GSR 593(E) dated 21.07.2022 has notified rules to include EPR regime for waste tyres. In compliance to above notification, the subject cited industry has registered itself on the EPR portal as recycler of waste tyre vide registration no. B-29016 / (WT Recycler)/23/WM-III/00958 dated 29.01.2024 for annual waste tyre recycling capacity of 10752 MT/annum.
It is therefore recommended that varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2030 with special condition that the industry will submit EPR certificate of waste tyre recycler with amended end products of Crumb rubber & reclaim rubber in accordance with the consented production details within one month.
