Visit:
To verify the contents of the application, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 05.01.2026 and Sh. Rajnish Kumar, Director was contacted. During visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The industry has installed induction furnace of capacity 7 TPH with side suction hood followed by bag house filter as APCD, which was found in operation.
3. The industry has installed energy meter on the APCD and is maintaining the record of the same.
4. The industry has got stack emission sampling conducted by an accredited approved laboratory namely SIMA Labs dated 26.12.2025 and as per analysis results, the concentration of SPM was analyzed as 89.1 mg/Nm3 which is within the prescribed standards of the Board. (copy enclosed)
5. The secondary emissions were not being escaped from the industrial shed as verified during visit.
6. The industry has installed alongwith CCM and rolling mill to manufacture Flat, Angles, Rounds, Squares etc. and found in operation during visit.
7. The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 125 KVA, which is equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height.
8. The industry is complying with directions/suggestions of PSCST, Chandigarh given in SOPs for operation of APCD and is maintaining the required data.
9. The industry has installed 01 no. submersible pump and has provided water meter on it and also maintaining the record of the same.
10. No water is used in the process, so no trade effluent is generated.
11. Domestic effluent is being discharged onto planation after treatment through septic tank.
12. The industry has installed the Environmental data board at the entrance of the gate.
13. The industry falls in the industrial zone as per the notified Master Plan of Khanna.
Recommendations:
In view of the facts mentioned above, if approved, it is recommended that the Consent to Operate under the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Steel Ingots/ Billets @ 84 MTD and Flat Bar Round Angle Through CCM @ 76 MTD may be renewed upto 30.09.2026 with suitable conditions and additional conditions that:
1. This consent is granted for the manufacturing of Steel Ingots/ Billets @ 84 MTD and Flat Bar Round Angle Through CCM @ 76 MTD by using Iron & Steel Scrap @ 90 MTD and Steel Ingots/ Billets @ 84 MTD as raw material only.
2. The industry shall plant trees wherever space is available inside and outside the unit.
3. The industry shall not use any scrap containing Hazardous waste like shockers containing waste oil.
4. The industry shall not undertake expansion without obtaining approval from the Board.
5. The industry shall obtain NOC of the Board, if it changes any of its product or raw material or enhances its production capacity in future.
6. The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.
7. The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
8. The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
9. The industry shall ensure that there is no public nuisance in the area, due to activities of the industry.
