Further observations are as under: - Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/ASR/2021/16616115 dated 23/08/2021 consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/ASR/2021/16615087 dated 23/08/2021, valid upto 30/09/2026 for production of Dry Syrup @30000Numbers/Day Tablets @4000000Numbers/Day Capsules @1500000Numbers/Day Liquid Oral (in Bottles) @96000Numbers/Day Injections (in Vials & Ampoules) @260000Numbers/Day Gel / Ointment / Cream @30000Numbers/Day Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied consent to under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for production of Dry Syrup @ 75000 Numbers/Day, Tablets @ 10800000 Numbers/Day, Capsules @ 375000 Numbers/D ay, Liquid oral (in bottles) @ 240000 Numbers/Day, Injections (in vials & Ampoules) @ 650000 Numbers/Day, Gel / Ointment / Cream @ 75000 Numbers/Day. Detail of the case are as under: - 1. The industry has submitted CA Certificate which it is gross value of fixed assets of Rs. 178.89 Crore as on 31.03.2025. The industry has deposited Rs. 720500/- (including Rs. 500/- as application form fee) vide Receipt No. 279439452 dated 15.01.2026 as consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 825600/- (including Rs. 105600/- as NOC fee) vide Receipt No. 389532513 dated 15.01.2026 as consent fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981., which it is adequate upto 30/09/2031 under both Acts. 2. The industry has submitted compliance report of previous consents granted under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry was visited by Er. Sukhdev Singh, Environmental Engineer, Er. Sukhmani Singh, Assistant Environmental Engineer and Sh. Dalvir Singh, ASO, Zonal Lab, Jalandhar on dated 22.12.2025 and it was observed as under:- 1. During visit, the industry was in operation and was engaged in the process of formulation of drugs viz tablets, syrup and injectibles. 2. The industry has installed ETP of capacity 60 KLD for the treatment of effluent arising from washing of pans, vessels & floor washing and also installed STP of capacity 100 KLD for the treatment of domestic effluent. 3. During visit the ETP and STP was also in operation. The effluent samples from the final outlet of the ETP and STP were collected by this office and as per analysis report, the concentration of various parameters of ETP is as under: - pH=7.0, COD=158 mg/l, BOD=24 mg/l, TSS=26 mg/l, O&G = BDL and TDS = 1472 mg/l. The concentration of various parameters of STP is as under pH=7.1, COD=48 mg/l, BOD=14 mg/l, TSS=18 mg/l, O&G = BDL and TDS = 1620 mg/l. The analysis report reveals that various parameters are within prescribed limits of the Board. 4. The industry installed one no. Pet coke fired boiler of capacity 6 TPH attached with Multicyclone followed by two stage alkaline wet scrubber are provided as APCD. 5. The industry has installed one no. wood fired boiler of capacity 04 TPH attached Trimacyclone as APCD. 6. The industry has also installed one no. wood fired incinerator of capacity 50 kg/hour and two stage scrubber provided as APCD. 7. The stack emission samples were also collected and the concentration of Particulate Matter (Boiler 06 TPH) @ 99 mg/Nm3 against 150 mg/Nm3 and Sulphur dioxide @ 253 mg/Nm3 against 400 mg/Nm3; Particulate Matter (Boiler 04 TPH) @ 148 mg/Nm3 against 250 mg/Nm3; Particulate Matter (incinerator) @ 40 mg/Nm3 against 50 mg/Nm3, NOx @ 69 mg/Nm3 against 400 mg/Nm3 and HCL @ 6.4 mg/Nm3 against 50 mg/Nm3 are within prescribed limits of the Board. 8. The industry has provided PH meter on the line carrying scrubbing water into wet scrubber. 9. The industry has also provided online SO2 meter to monitor the concentration of SO2 in flue gas. 10. The industry has installed 03 no. DG sets of capacity 750 each and both of them are provided with canopy. The industry is complying with the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2031 with suitable terms and conditions Competency CEE
