It is submitted that show cause notice before refusal of 'consent to operate' under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 has been issued to the industry alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer (B) of the Board on 15.01.2026.
Sh. Arun Kumar Jindal attended the hearing on behalf of the industry and submitted written reply of show cause notice, which has been taken on record. He submitted that the industry has provided adequate stack height with cyclone in buffing section. He further stated that they have already applied for revenue report and classification of land. He requested for 07 days’ time to submit the requisite revenue report and classification of land.
After hearing the representative of the industry and officer of the Board and the materials facts on record, the Senior Environmental Engineer (B) decided as under: -
1. The industry shall obtain revenue report & land use classification from the concerned authorities and shall submit to the Regional Office of the Board, within 07 days.
2. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Sri Muktsar Sahib shall visit the industry within 3 days to verify the contentions made by the industry during the hearing and submit report with conclusive recommendations to decide the consent applications.
