It is submitted that Show cause notice before refusal of 'consents to operate' under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 has been issued to the industry alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer (B) of the Board on 15.01.2026.
Sh. Deepak Kataria attended the hearing on behalf of the industry and submitted written reply of show cause notice, which has been taken on record. He submitted that:-
1. The permission from MC Gidderbaha regarding disposal of treated effluent into sewer is attached with letter.
2. The resort has already obtained change of land use certificate form concerned department which has been attached with online application.
3. The resort does not have any its own DG set as such no detail was given in application form.
4. The resort will maintain record of fresh water consumption, waste water generated & effluent treated on the day of function.
After hearing the representative of the industry and officer of the Board and the materials facts on record, the Senior Environmental Engineer (B) decided as under: -
1. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Sri Muktsar Sahib shall examine the reply submitted by the industry during the hearing and shall submit the report with conclusive recommendations to decide the consent applications on merit.
