Discussed and it was deliberated that the industry was given personal hearing before the worthy CEE(P) of the Board on 27.10.2025, wherein the CEE(P) of the Board decided that:- 1. The industry shall apply online for fresh authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, within 3 days. 2. The industry shall ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of all hazardous wastes generated in accordance with the provisions of the aforesaid Rules, and shall further ensure that the hazardous wastes are lifted only by recyclers, TSDF operators, or co-processors duly authorized by the Board. 3. The industry shall immediately install flow measuring devices on the outlet of the ETP-cum-STP, within 3 days. 4. The industry shall rectify all non-compliances/violations observed by the visiting officer of the Board within three (03) days and submit a compliance report to the Regional Office of the Board for verification. 5. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the industry after 7 days to verify the submissions made by the industry and the status of compliance. Thereafter, the Regional Office shall process the authorization application to be filed by the industry on merits and submit fresh recommendations for consideration of the Board while processing the applications for renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. 6. Further action in the matter shall be taken after receipt of the verification report from the Regional Office, SAS Nagar.
Thereafter, in compliance to decision no. 05 of the personal hearing, the site was again visited by the Officer on 10.12.2025 and reported that the industry is now complying with the provisions the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and also recommended that the renewal of consent to operate be granted upto 30.09.2027 under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
As per the record available online, the industry has applied for obtaining authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 vide Application dated 05.01.2026, as per decision no. 1 of the personal hearing. The application is still pending at RO level.
In consideration of the report/ recommendations of RO; if approved, the competent authority be recommended that the industry be granted renewal of consents to operate under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, upto 30.09.2027, subject to suitable general and additional conditions.
