It is intimated that service station is a small scale-orange category workshop engaged in the process of servicing and washing of four wheelers.
Earlier, the service station was granted consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/JAL II/2021/16572495 dated 25.08.2021 valid upto 30.09.2025 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the service station has applied for varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 for increase in the capacity of D.G. set from 165 KVA to 250 KVA with requisite documents.
The service station was visited by AEE of this office on 21.01.2026 & observed as under: -
1. The service station was in operation during the visit.
2. The service station has installed one D.G. set of capacity 250 KVA with canopy & in-adequate stack height.
3. The Service station has provided one painting room with bag filters to collect secondary fugitive emissions. The used bag filters are stored inside the premises of the service station and as per the representative the same are lifted to some unknown person.
In view of the above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 may be refused alongwith action may be initiated against the industry for violations of provisions of the Air Act, 1981.
