Upon examination of e-noting of ZO, Ludhiana, it is submitted that the industry is a small scale Orange Category unit engaged in processing waste plastic into lumps (gatta) and granules. The industry was inspected on 05.12.2025 and was found operational and complying with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and adequate APCDs (wet scrubber with suction hoods) have been installed at emission points.
It is further submitted that being a plastic waste processing/recycling unit, the industry is required to obtain registration on the CPCB Plastic EPR online portal as applicable under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 (as amended).
Considering the above, Consent to Operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry subject to suitable conditions under the said Act, please.
