Upon examination of e-noting of ZO, Ludhiana, it is submitted that the industry is a small scale Orange Category unit engaged in processing waste plastic into lumps (gatta) and granules. The industry was inspected on 05.12.2025 and was found operational and complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. There is no generation of trade effluent, however domestic effluent is being disposed of through a septic tank with discharge onto land for plantation.
It is further submitted that being a plastic waste processing/recycling unit, the industry is required to obtain registration on the CPCB Plastic EPR online portal as applicable under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 (as amended).
Considering the above, Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry subject to suitable conditions under the said Act, please.
