It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2022/17226749 dated 31/01/2022, upto 30/09/2025 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2022/18309535 dated 15/06/2022, upto 30/09/2025 with certain conditions and special condition that the industry will submit stack emission sample results from the Board/ NABL Lab. within one month…………………… Now the industry has applied for consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Agriculture Implements (tractor parts) @ 600 MT/Year. The industry was visited by Er. Ridham, AEE on 08.01.2026 and observed as under:- 1. The industry was in operation and is a forging unit. 2. The industry has installed 02 hammers, electrically operated Forging Furnace with two no. billet heaters of 200 KW and 350 KW. The industry have installed adequate stack with the re-heating furnace. 3. The industry has installed 02 shot blast machines with dust Collector as APCD, 01 no. shearing machine and 03 no. of power press. 4. There is no generation of trade effluent by the industry. 5. The industry has provided 03 no. cooling tower. The cooling water is re-circulated and domestic water is discharged into sewer. 6. No boiler/furnace/D.G. set has been installed by the industry. 7. The industry has submitted layout plan approved by the Competent person. It is pertinent to mention that the industry is using electricity as fuel, which is in accordance with the new fuel policy. The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. ……………In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2030 with suitable conditions and special conditions : 1.The industry will obtain the permission for the use/abstraction of ground water as per the requirements of Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA)/ Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA). In absence of obtaining of permission, the operation of the industry is entirely at its risk and cost and the Board will not be responsible for any loss, in case the CGWA/PWRDA will prohibit the abstraction/use of water on account of non-obtaining of such permission. 2. The industry shall comply with the manufacture, storage and import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 (as amended) and submit the details on onside emergency plan, safety reports and safety audit reports in accordance with the manufacture, storage and import of hazardous chemical rules, 1989, in case the industry or installation handling hazardous chemicals quantity equal to or more than the threshold quantity specified in the said rules. 3. The industry shall provide adequate arrangement for fire fighting and against any accidental leakage/discharge of any air pollutant/gas/ liquids from the vessels, mechanical equipment's etc, which are likely to cause environmental pollution. The industry to obtain necessary permissions from the concerned authorities like Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana and Deptt. Of Labour/Director of Factories, Punjab with respect to the above safety measures………………… Competency- SEE Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana. |
