It is submitted that industry is a small scale green category unit engaged in production of T-shirts/Lowers/Sweat Shirts/Top Sweaters and other garments from fabrics.
Earlier, The industry was granted Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide CTOW/Renew/LDH3/2021/15399707 dated 22.07.2021 valid up to 30.062025 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide CTOA/Fresh/LDH3/2020/13524615 dated 25.08.2020 valid upto 25.08.2021 for production of T-shirts/Lowers/Sweat Shirts/Top Sweaters and other garments of 2500 Nos/day from fabrics @ 500 Kgs/day and domestic effluent 3 KLD into sewer and 02 Nos DG Sets of capacity 140 KVA & 65 KVA with canopy.
Now, industry has applied for varied Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the same production but increase gross value of fixed assets.
The industry has already deposited Rs. 42000/- vide UTR no. 812468486 dated 30.06.2025 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 42000/- and Rs. 8400 (NOC regularization fees) vide UTR no. 38753070 dated 30.06.2025 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 29.062030 under both acts against the value of fixed assets of Rs. 439.85 lacs.
The application of the industry scrutinized and observed as under :-
1. The unit has submitted ownership documents, CA Certificate (for Rs. 439.85 Lakhs) and copy of site plan/building plan dully approved by the competent authority of Dir Fys has been submitted by the industry.
2. The industry has submitted certificate issued by ATP, Ludhiana vide no. 8/ATP/A/Regd dated 17.01.2019 stating that the site of property Khewat & Khatuni no. 702/745-745/854-746/855 page no. 542-636-637 khasra no. 826/135-827/135-828/135-133-134 vasika no. 04.10.2018 approved for industrial open plot measuring 924 Sq yards.
The industry was visited by Er. Gurvinder Singh, AEE on 20.01.2026 :-
1. The industry was in operation during visit.
2. The industry was engaged in the process of Finished Fabric In-house Checking Cutting Stitching checking Packing & dispatch. The industry has installed 45 stitching machines, 20 overlock machines, 15 folding machines. The industry has installed steam press generator has been installed for pressing of garments.
3. There is no generation of trade effluent from the process and domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has installed 2 DG set of capacity 140 KVA & 65 KVA equipped with canopy and adequate stack height.
The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
Keeping in view of the above, the Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the industry with general conditions.
