• It is intimated that the above said industry is small scale Orange category unit.
• Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of Engennering Goods @ 4.0 Metric Tonnes/Day by using MS Scrap @ 4.2 Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material.
• The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under director of factories.
• The industry has submitted land use classification of area certificate issued from DTP, Jalandhar vide letter No. 1581/SSV-1 dated 24.12.2025 in which mentioned that the area of the industry falls in General Industrial zone as per Master Plan 2009-2031.
• The industry has submitted manufacturing process registry of the land, proprietorship certificate, feasibility report and completion certificate of APCD installed with induction furnace with the application.
• The industry has submitted electricity bill as proof of date of commissioning.
• The industry was visited by Er. Manpreet Singh Jaura, AEE on 27.01.2026 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in manufacturing of Engineering Goods.
• The industry it has installed 1 No. shot blasting machine with inbuilt bag house as APCD with adequate stack height.
• The industry has installed 1 no. induction furnace of capacity 500 kg/heat with bag house filter as APCD and the same was not in operation during visit.
• The industry has installed other general machinery for machining purpose at site.
• There is no source of trade effluent generation, only domestic effluent is discharged through septic tank. Entire cooling water is being re-circulation.
• The industry has provided separate storage room for the storage of hazardous waste generated at site.
• The industry is a small scale Orange category unit and competency to decide such cases lies with Senior Environmental Engineer.
Recommendation :- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2030 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board and with special condition that :-
1. The industry has to submit air emission sample analysis report from the Boards lab within 02 months.
2. The industry shall apply for obtaining authorization under Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 immediately.
