While processing the case, it has come to the notice that:
1. The industry is going to use Pet bottles scrap @ 10 MTD, which might contain the used refined oil bottles, edible oil bottles etc. in its process. But, the industry has not proposed any treatment facility for removing the oil during washing of bottles. Further, there will be organic matter in the wastewater for which either the biological treatment is required or advance techniques will be required for treatment. But, as per the feasibility report, nothing has been proposed by the industry in this regard.
2. Whether, the industry can be requested to use paddy straw in hot water generator instead of wood briquettes, since it is CTE stage.
3. Whether, the industry shall generate any hazardous waste or not, as nothing has been mentioned in the agenda note.
In view of above, if approved, Regional Office be requested to clarify the above said observations, immediately, pl.
