It is submitted that the representative of the brick kiln had submitted written reply in this office (copy attached), wherein it has informed that they have already started the construction work of septic tank and the same will be completed within 15 days. Further, the brick kiln has undertaken to provide plantation along the remaining boundary and will also utilized paddy straw pellets as 25% replacement of coal.
Accordingly, the brick kiln was again visited on 28.01.2026 to verify the submission of the brick kiln and observed that the brick kiln is in the process of providing septic tank and plantation along the boundaries.
From above, it is clear that the brick kiln has removed the previous observations and is now complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
May if approved, it is recommended that the Show Cause Notice may be dropped and consent to operate under the Water Act,1974 may be granted upto 30.09.2031 with suitable conditions and additional conditions as under:
1. The brick kiln shall comply with the Punjab Govt. guidelines regarding usage of paddy straw pellets.
2. The brick kiln shall ensure the treatment of domestic effluent through septic tank and will not discharge through any other illegal means.
