As pre the report of RO, the unit is a restaurant of capacity 75 Seats and has provided applied for CTO for discharge of domestic effluent @ 12 KLD into sewer after passing through Oil and Grease trap. However, the same is not in consonance with the CPCB’s “Mechanism/Guidelines tor Control of Pollution and Enforcement of Environment Norms at Individual Establishinents and the Area/ Cluster of Restaurants/ Hotels/ Motels/ Banquets” issued in 2020 and as adopted by the Board vide o/o no. 64 dated 02.02.2021, as per which, “A restaurant with minimum seating capacity of 36 shall install ETP”….
However, the pp has not installed the ETP at site and is thus not complying with the said guidelines/mechanism…
In view of above, if approved, the project proponent may be issued show cause notice for refusal of grant of consent to operate under the water act, 1974 and Air act 1981, along with an opportunity of show cause in writing within 10 days.
