Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renew/LDH1/2022/20125775 Date of issue 14-11-2022 Date of expiry 31-12-2025 and CTOA/Renew/LDH1/2020/14311167 Date of issue 24-11-2020 Date of expiry 24-11-2025 for manufacturing of Readymade Garment @ 5000 Numbers/day by using Cotton/Blended Fabric @ 3 MTD.
Now the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with production as well as raw material.
The industry has submitted, latest CA certificate, compliance of earlier granted consent.
The industry has deposited fee, Rs. 86404/- vide no. SBIN525302302226-204740 dated 29.10.2025 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 86404/- vide no. SBIN525302298404-204739 dated 29.10.2025 under Air Act, 1981. The adequacy of fee deposited is upto 31.12.2029.
The industry was visited by undersigned on 16.01.2026 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry was in operation during visit.
2. The manufacturing process is as follows:
Cutting – Tailoring/Overlock – Kaz Buttoning – checking – pressing
3. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has installed 6 electrical baby boilers.
5. The industry has installed 3 D.G sets of capacity 500 KVA, 380 KVA, 180 KVA with adequate stack height and canopy provided.
6. The industry has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for three years i.e. upto 31.12.2029 and the same was not verified due to some technical problems. The industry has submitted request vide email dated 12.11.2025. However at the Regional office level the fee is not getting verified in the OCMMS portal as no bank challan has been generated in the system. As per the new SOP regarding "issue related to payment verification of fee and non linking of fee with consent application" submitted by the industry issued by head office letter no. 36823-41 dated 03.11.2025, the request is separately forwarded to accounts office, head office, Patiala vide e-office no. 360508, which is under process.
7. The industry is complying with the conditions of the last granted Consents and also the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
8. The industry is located in industrial area under the Master Plan of Ludhiana (2007-2031), thereby fulfilling the site suitability requirement.
In view of the above it is recommended that the subject cited case may be decided after resolution of the technical issue of fees verification from Accounts section of the Head Office, Patiala, please
