It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit. Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2023/23563468 dated 30.12.2023 valid upto 31.12.2025 and CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2023/20768236 dated 01.02.2023 valid upto 30.09.2025 for Hosiery Goods @ 300 Kgs/day for discharge of trade effluent @ 24 KLD (into sewer after ETP) and domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD (into the sewer)
Now the industry has applied for varied 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with request letter which stated that the increase in the value of plant and machinery is attributable to the procurement of a high-efficiency STOLL computerized high-speed fully fashioned machine. This machine has been duly installed and integrated into our existing production line. The installation of the above machinery does not result in any change in the final products or raw materials utilized. The machine is intended solely to improve efficiency and quality of our existing product range, without any change in product specifications or raw material composition.
The industry has filled online application form, uploaded latest CA certificate, site plan location plan, manufacturing process flow chart, compliance of earlier granted consent.
The industry has now deposited, Rs. 32400/- vide no. 371462323 dated 30.09.2025 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 32400/- vide no. 517481190 dated 30.09.2025 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has already adequate fee i.e. upto 30.09.2028.
The industry was visited by this office on 28.01.2026 and observed as under:-
1. The industry was not in operation during visit. The unit is Hosiery garment manufacturing along with washing.
2. The industry has installed 1 no. washing machine of capacity 50 kg and 2 no. hydro of capacity 25 kg and 2no. tumbler.
3. The industry has installed ETP for treatment of trade effluent. The industry has installed ETP having components as collection tank- dozing tank- flash mixer- tube settler- aeration tank- tube settler- pre-filtration tank- dual media filter and final out let.
4. The industry has got carried out trade effluent sampling from PBTI, Mohali on 19.12.2025 and as per analysis report attached by the industry in the application form the result are within the prescribed limit of the Board.
5. The industry is discharging its domestic effluent into sewer.
6. The industry has installed 1 no. boiler of capacity 250 Kg/day with adequate stack height and cyclone as APCD.
7. The industry has got carried out stack emission sampling from PBTI, Mohali on 24.09.2025 and as per analysis report attached by the industry in the application form the result are within the prescribed limit of the Board.
8. The industry has installed 2 no. DG set of capacity 180 KVA & 125 KVA with canopy and adequate stacks height.
9. The industry is complying with previous consent conditions granted to it under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981
In view of the above, it is recommended that renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with suitable condition.
