File Note: Please peruse the notes of AEE. 1…The hospital has a capacity of 150 beds and is in the premises of civil Hospital Sangrur, which itself is 200 beds, capacity Hospital. Both these hospitals have total beds, capacity of 350 beds and as per CPHEEO, Ministry of urban development, government of India manual, the water consumption per bed is 450 liters I.e. the total water consumption for both the hospitals comes out to be 157.5 KLD and the discharge comes out to be 126 KLD, which is more than the capacity of common ETP-cum-STP of of capacity 100 KLD capacity installed in the premises of civil Hospital, Sangrur for both the hospitals. Also action against Civil Hospital Sangrur is under process for violations of the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981…. 2…. But in the application form, the hospital has proposed to install a new 700 KLD capacity ETP-cum-STP for both the hospitals and given an order for installation of the same, so that the treatment capacity is enough to treat the liquid effluent generated by both the hospitals, which is adequate in principle…. As such, it is recommended for grant of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 to the hospital subject to special condition that it shall ensure installation and completion as well as commissioning of ETP-cum-STP of 700 KLD capacity proposed by it within this time period and shall submit a copy of PERT chart for installation of the same to the Regional office, Sangrur of the Board within one week, please…..
