It is intimated that Appeal No. 08/2026 (I.A. No. 102/2026) titled M/s Chopra Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Vs. Punjab Pollution Control Board before the National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi was heard on 23.02.2026.
During the hearing, it was observed that as per the orders of the Supreme Court of India in SLP Nos. 3983/2026 and 4053/2026 dated 29.01.2026, the hotel shall remain non-functional until further orders passed by the NGT.
Accordingly, considering the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the Hon’ble NGT decided to constitute an Expert Team to visit the site and ascertain the correct position.
In view of the above, If approved, the Consent to Operate applied by the applicant may be returned till further orders of the Hon’ble NGT. Also the applicant has again not mentioned/attached any detail/ document/ feasibility report of the ETP with application.
