The pp he has obtained consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/PTA/2023/24110564 dated 22/11/2023 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/PTA/2023/24110526 dated 22.11.2023, both are valid upto 30.09.2027, for operation of Marriage Palace cum Banquet Hall for 800 Persons / Function per year with suitable conditions mentioned therein….
Now, the pp has applied for obtaining NOC for expansion (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 of Guest rooms @ 81 Nos., Hall of capacity @ 200 Nos./day, Staff @ 50 Nos./day and Restaurant of capacity @ 100 Nos./day with requisite documents…
RO has visited the site of the project and has reported that the unit is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981….
In view of the report/ recommendations sent by EE, RO, Patiala, if approved, the project property may be granted consent to establish under the water act, 1974 and Air act 1981, for expansion of the project, for 01 year, , subject to suitable conditions, conditions as imposed by RO and following additional conditions:
1. The pp shall comply with the guidelines of Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA) from time to time.
2. The entrepreneur/industry shall obtain necessary statutory permissions /clearances from all other concerned departments.
3. The unit shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.
4. The unit shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
5. The unit shall ensure that there is no public nuisance in the area, due to activities of the unit.
6. The unit shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
7. The adequacy/ efficacy of the pollution control arrangements & disposal scheme shall be the sole responsibility of the project proponent and the pp shall be bound to implement/ upgrade its pollution control & disposal arrangements as per the discretion of the Board to achieve the prescribed emission/ effluent standards, as amended from time to time.
8. The pp shall not discharge any effluent at any unauthorized place by any unauthorized means i.e. shall not discharge any wastewater in any drain / inland surface waters / drain/ choe/ nallah/ onto land for stagnation or outside its premises, at any time, under any circumstances.
9. The project has been approved by the Board from pollution angle and the industry shall obtain the statutory clearances/ permissions from all other concerned departments.
10. The project proponent shall ensure the compliance of provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/ or any other environmental law applicable to him and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time.
11. The consent is being issued to the project proponent based upon the documents/ information submitted by it along with the online application form and during hearing. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry/project proponent and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time, without any opportunity of Personal Hearing.
12. In case the project proponent fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/ or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the project proponent.
