It is submitted that the industry is engaged in the process of Printing and Industrial Packaging on job basis. The industry is covered under the Micro type of Enterprises as per Udhyam Adhar Registration certificate submitted by the industry on 05.03.2026 (certificate attached). As per the ministry of environment, forest and climate change notification no. G.S.R. 201(e). dated 14th March, 2024 which states as “11. “4. Obligated Entities: The following entities shall be covered under the Extended Producer Responsibility obligations, namely: - (a) Producer of plastic packaging, other than micro and small enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act,2006 (27 of 2006)”. Hence, the subject cited industry is not obligated to obtain EPR under Plastic Waster Management Rules,2022 amended in 2024.
