Sir, the HCF has submitted a written reply of the SCN issued. The HCF in its reply has submitted that it has carefully reviewed the analysis report and noted the observation regarding Bio-Assay results. The HCF has submitted that “the deviation appears to be temporary and may have occurred due to operational fluctuation in the treatment system and immediately after receiving the observations, they have undertaken the following corrective measures: Complete servicing and inspection of ETP/STP system, Calibration of dosing pumps, Sludge removal and cleaning of tanks, Strengthening of monitoring mechanism, Appointment of trained operator for continuous supervision.” The HCF also submitted that it has also initiated fresh sampling through an approved laboratory and shall submit the compliance report shortly. The HCF also stated that “We assure the Hon'ble Board that the hospital is fully committed to maintaining effluent parameters within permissible limits and preventing any environmental harm.”
The HCF has authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 which was granted vide authorization no.- BMW/Renewal/LDH3/2025/28270387 dated 23/04/2025, which is valid uptil 31/03/2027 for 150 beds capacity.
In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted for one year to the HCF with usual conditions and special condition that HCF shall operate its ETP more efficiently so as to achieve the desired parameters and shall get its effluent samples analysed from the Board within 01 month.
