• It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit.
• The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of Scaffolding & Door Fitting @ 12 MT/Day by using MS Scrap @ 4 Metric Tonnes/Day and Flat, Bar, Round, Sheet @ 12 Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material.
• The industry has submitted approved building plan from Competent person under Factories act.
• The industry has submitted classification of land issued from DTP, Jalandhar vide letter no. 1713 dated 11.10.2023 in which mentioned that the site of the industry falls in Industrial Zone as per Master Plan 2009-2031.
• The industry has submitted electricity bill as per proof of date of commissioning.
• The industry has made agreement with the M/s JBR technology for lifting trade effluent @ 3000 ltr/month.
• The industry has submitted feasibility report and completion certificate of APCD installed with induction furnace, registry of the land, jamabandi and MOA with the application.
• The industry was visited by the undersigned of this office on 03.03.2026 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in manufacturing of Scaffolding & Door Fitting.
1. The industry has installed 1 no. induction furnace of capacity 0.300 TPH with bag house filter as APCD with adequate stack height and the same was not in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed 2 no. shot blasting machine with bag house filter as APCD with adequate stack height
3. The industry has installed 6 no. Hydraulic Threading Machines at site.
4. The industry has also installed electroplating section at site.
5. The industry has installed 4 no. PVC collection tanks of total capacity approx. 2250 ltr placed underground for storage of trade effluent generated by electroplating section. The industry is also engaged in barreling activity at site.
6. The industry has maintained proper record of fresh water consumption and effluent lifted to CETP and water audit was carried out and it was observed as following:

Evaporation loss =10.21 %
As such it is observed that fresh water in flow and trade effluent out flow ratio is in order.
7. The domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.
8. The industry has also applied authorization under Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 and same was processed separately.
9. The industry is a small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2030 with usual conditions and with special condition that:-
1. The industry shall submitted air emission sample analysis report from Boards lab within 02 months.
2. The industry shall lift its trade effluent to the CETP on regular basis and shall ensure to maintain the record of fresh water consumption as well as trade effluent lifted.
3. The industry shall obtain necessary permission from the concerned Departments, if required, if any, in future its own level.
