Pointwise reply of observations raised by Zonal Office-1 are as under:
1. Number of workers – 40, Number of shifts - 1 shift and domestic effluent @ 0.4 KLD is being generated by the industry.
2. The industry has four sections for plantation area of size 140’x3’ & 180’x3’ & 50’x60’ & 154’x65’ amounting to 13970 sq. ft. (0.321 acre). Considering 20 KLD water per acre for gardening, the green area is adequate for effluent generated by the industry.
3. The stack emissions sampling will be carried out as per the ongoing protocol samplings.
4. The industry has provided cyclone followed by wet scrubber as APCD with second furnace with adequate stack height. The APCD seems to be adequate in principle.
5. The industry has obtained and is complying with conditions of authorization granted under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, which is valid upto 31/03/2029.
6. No specific SOPs are present for Aluminium casting furnace.
