Report sent by RO has been examined and it has been observed that the industry has proposed to use biofuel pellets as fuel in its crucible furnace for melting of alminium scrap and also propose to establish the unit in Mandi Gobindgarh. If approved, RO be asked to re-examine the case in light of the order dated 25.02.2026 passed in OA 295 of 2023 by the Hon'ble NGT regarding allowing use of any other fuel except PNG in case of Mandi Gobindgarh.
Further, the RO may check the material balance w.r.t recovery of copper ingot from copper scarp as 100 % recovery is not possible, there must be some wastage in form of impurities, pl... |
