The above note may kindly be perused………………… the industry was earlier granted Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide No. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2025/29959961 dated 28.11.2025 for production of garments @ 12,500 Nos/day with disposal of trade effluent @ 290 KLD and domestic effluent @ 10 KLD into 15 MLD CETP having validity upto 27.02.2026…………………... The industry has now applied for renewal under the Water Act for dyeing and washing of garments @ 12,500 Nos/day with the same effluent disposal arrangement with requisite documents and consent fee adequate upto 30.06.2026………………………During inspection on 09.03.2026, the unit was found operational, with installed washing/dyeing machinery and an actual effluent generation of about 213.88 KLD as per GNE study…………………RO has reported that the industry possesses 395 KLD CETP shares, has installed a digital flow meter and SCADA system connected with CETP server, and is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974……………...May if approved, Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2026 with usual terms and conditions and special condition that the consent is being granted subject to decision of the Hon’ble NGT in the CETP cases…………………Competency- Chairperson, PPCB |
