The application submitted by the project proponent has been scrutinized and it was observed as under:
1. The project proponent has applied renewal of consent to operate under the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 under orange category (2025-DG set of capacity >1MVA but < 5MVA) and the same is not proper. The industry needs to apply under new category as per CPCB letter no. CP-18/1/2023-IPC-VI-HO-CPCB-HO dated 12.02.2025 regarding harmonization of classification of industrial sectors under Red, Orange, Green, White and Blue categories.
2. The project proponent was requested vide this office letter no. 593-600 dated 24.02.2026 to provided the list of Mobile Tower/Telecom Towers using genset in District SAS Nagar and obtain consents of the Mobile Tower/ Telecom Towers using genset. However, the project proponent needs to submit the reply to the above letter, immediately.
It is requested to submit the reply to the clarification within 02 days. Until then, the application will be treated as incomplete.
