Earlier, the industry was granted short term cto under the Water Act, 1974 & air Act, 1981 upto 31.03.2026...Further, temporary electric connection was restored upto 31.03.2026.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of CTO..
As per the report of RO, the unit is almost complying with the code of practice stipulated for such units and the stone crusher is partially complying with guidelines of CPCB framed for stone crushing units i.e. of July 2023.. RO has further mentioned that the unit has been found compliant during the last 03 visits and has recommended that the electricity connection to the stone crushing unit may permanently restored…
In view of above and report/ recommendations sent by EE, RO, Roopnagar, if approved, following actions may be taken:
A. The industry may be granted renewal of consent to operate under the water act, 1974 and Air act 1981, upto 28.02.2030, subject to suitable conditions and conditions mentioned in the note of RO.
A. PSPCL may be directed to permanently restore the electric connection of the industry
B. EE, RO, Roopnagar may be directed to immediately take up the matter regarding the complaint under the Air Act, 1981 to be filed before the adjudication officer by RO due to enactment of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) amendment rules, 2024 (as mentioned in e-noting no. 23592053), note dated 31.01.2025. He may also be requested to follow up the complaint already filed by the Board against the unit, under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 the Hon’ble court, please.
