The application of the project proponent was scrutinized, and it is observed as under:
1. The application of the industry has been scrutinized and it was observed that the industry has applied in RED / 1079-Industrial estates/ parks / complexes/ areas/ export processing zones/ SEZs/ Biotech parks/ leather complex. which is not in order. The project proponent needs to apply for Category 10.1 Building construction project ≥ 20,000 sq. m. built-up area.
2. As per EIA Notification 2006, for Industrial Estates/Parks, “If the area is less than 500 ha. but contains building and construction projects > 20,000 sq. mtr. and or development area more than 50 ha it will be treated as activity listed at serial no. 8(a) or 8(b) in the Schedule, as the case may be.” As such, the project is required to provide documentary evidence to ascertain that the individual construction will not pass beyond 20,000 sqm. Else, the industrial park is required to obtain the Environmental Clearance under EIA Notification 2006.
3. There are no green area explicitly marked on the site plan. the project proponent is required to submit the layout plan after clearly earmarking the green area to be provided as per Karnal Technology.
4. There are 2 STP/ETP sites mentioned on the layout plan. the project is required to submit the sewerage layout and STP scheme.
