It is submitted that the subject cited industry is a small scale red category unit and has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 with requisite documents. The industry has deposited consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 8.87 Lacs as on 28.02.2026 as per CA certificate dated 10.03.2026, which is adequate upto 31/05/2032 under Water Act, 1974, as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018 after deducting penalty charges 10 % and NOC regularization fee.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by Er Ishmanjot Singh, AEE on 25/03/2026.
During the visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry is a new establishment and has installed 01 no. barrel and 02 no. power presses in its premises. Only power presses were in operation during the visit.
2. It is engaged in Steel Nuts with phosphate coating @ 10 T/day by using raw material as Round Steel Bars @ 1.5 MTD, HCL Acid @ 8 Liter/day and Phosphate Chemicals @ 4.0 Kgs/day.
3. The manufacturing process of the industry is as Steel bars - Blank cutting on press - Forging and machining of nuts at unit 2 - Acid pickling & phosphating - Water gets polluted at this process - Packing and Dispatch.
4. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Ltd., Ludhiana (CETP) for disposal of its trade effluent @ 2000 ltr/month.
5. The industry has installed water meter on pipeline leading to process area whose reading during visit was 1.09 KL.
6. No bye pass of effluent was observed during visit.
7. Domestic effluent generated by the industry is discharged into sewer.
8. The industry has installed 03 no. CCTV cameras, however, none of them were facing the entry gate of the processing shed, effluent storage tank or fresh water meter installed in processing area. The industry was guided to direct the cameras on those locations.
9. The industry has provided 01 no. underground storage tank of dimensions 9’8” x 3’4” x 3’9”, which comes around to be 3300 Ltr, which was found empty during visit.
10. The industry was guided to maintain record of water consumption and lifting of trade effluent on commencement of its wet process.
11. The industry has not installed any DG set in the premises.
12. The industry has submitted building plan prepared by Sh. Sukhjinder Singh approved Architect from Director of Factories, Punjab. Site suitability The site of the industry falls in Industrial Area-C as per khasra no’s 68//4, 3 mentioned in the gazette notification.
In view of above may if approved Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30/06/2030 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board with special conditions that the industry shall install the CCTV cameras at the advised locations i.e. entry gate of the processing shed, effluent storage tank and fresh water meter installed in processing area within 07 days.
