File Note: The compliance of proceedings of personal hearing for refusal of 'Consent to establish' (NOC) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 before the Chief Environmental Engineer (B) of the Board dated 17.02.2026 are as follows: 1. The industry shall submit the revised proposal to be achieved from the induction furnace of capacity 10 TPH with the available load viz-a-viz production capacity to the Regional Office of the Board. Reply: the industry has submitted a fresh proposal w.r.t. to operation of its induction furnace with a capacity of 10 Tons. The furnace has a diameter of 44 inches and a total connected load of 4000kW, out of which 3600 kW will be dedicated to induction furnace. Each heat cycle of the induction furnace will have duration of approximately 90 minutes and the plant shall operate on 16 heats per day which will result in total daily processing of approximately 160 tons of raw material. The industry shall engage PSCST, Chandigarh for obtaining design of secondary emission control system within a week and shall submit feasibility report as well as Pert Chart for the installation of the same thereafter, within 15 days to the Regional Office of the Board. Reply: The industry has requested PSCST, Chandigarh for obtaining design of secondary emission control system through an email dated 12.03.2026 3. The industry shall submit the documentary proof to acknowledge its claim to the effect that site of the industry falls in industrial zone and is suitable for establishment of induction furnace unit within a week to the Regional Office of the Board. Reply: In compliance to pint no. 3 of the personal hearing the industry has submitted self-undertaking stating that land measuring 12 kanal bearing khewat no. 122, khatauni no. 135 and Hadbast no. 210 situated at Village Ismailpur Tehsil Khanna District Ludhiana falls in Industrial Zone of village Ismailpur. The Change of Land Use of the site is issued already in the name of DH Casting Pvt. Ltd. through memo no. 1975 CTP(PB)SR-432 (L) dated 17.03.2010. The industry has initiated the process of obtaining revised Change of Land Use in the name of M/s Choudhary Steel Industries.
