⮚ The industry is a small-scale orange category unit and is marriage palace for gathering of person 500 Numbers/Day. The marriage palace has applied for fresh Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS portal.
⮚ The marriage palace has submitted requisite documents such as approved site map, authorization letter, partnership deed, registration deed, site map and latest C.A. certificate etc. The marriage palace has also submitted an permissibility certificate for the existing land issued by CTP, Chandigarh vide Letter No. 4465 dated 09.09.2016.
⮚ The marriage palace has also deposited CTO fee Rs. 72,500/- vide UTR no. 931017081 dated 18.03.2026 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 75,400/- vide UTR no. 113762659 dt. 18.03.2026 under Air Act, 1981, both are adequate for a period upto 30.09.2030 after deducting penalty and NOC fee.
⮚ To verify the contents of the application, the marriage palace was visited by this office on 01.04.2026 and it was observed as under:
1. No function was going on during the visit.
2. The marriage palace has installed oil & grease trap for the treatment of kitchen effluent followed by septic tank. Further, domestic effluent is also treated in septic tank. The entire treated effluent is discharged onto land for plantation.
3. The marriage palace has installed proper hood and over the cooking area to emit the cooking smoke.
4. The marriage palace has also installed 1 no. D.G. set of capacity 62 KVA provided with canopy and adequate stack height.
5. The marriage palace has also provided plantation alongside the boundary wall.
6. The municipal Solid waste is being lifted by to piggery farms by the farmers to make compost.
⮚ The marriage palace is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
⮚ In view of above, it is recommended that fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to marriage palace for a period upto 30.09.2030 with suitable terms and conditions alongwith a special condition that the marriage palace shall apply for obtaining authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 within 2 months.
