In reply to the observations raised by Zonal Office, Bathinda it is submitted that:
1. The industry vide its proposal has estimated total population of project as 1690 persons which has been calculated as per norms. Further, the effluent generation @ 175.28 KLD is also as per norms. The Project Proponent has proposed that 70 KLD will be used for flushing using dual plumbing, which is almost 40% of the total effluent. Further, 8.28 KLD have been proposed for utilization in parks and green area. The Project Proponent has submitted that 0.22 acres of land is under green area and considering the grass area under park the effluent @8.28 KLD seems to be inconsonance. As such surplus effluent @97 KLD shall be discharge into MC sewer.
2. The industry has submitted approved layout plan of plotted areas and no such plan approved from any authority has been submitted regarding laying of dual plumbing line. However, the PP has mentioned in feasibility report that 70 KLD effluent will be used through dual plumbing.
3. The PP has obtained permission from MC Jaitu vide no. 3123 dated 13.02.2026 for discharge of effluent into sewer line. (Copy attached)
4. There are no specific discharge parameters for colonies/ residential projects and condition may be imposed that the project may be bound to achieve the general discharge standards as applicable.
5. The PP has already proposed that effluent after treatment will be reused for flushing and green area. However, condition may be imposed on the PP that additional utilization sources shall be identified by PP for reducing dependence on sewer line.
6. The proposed utilization of 8.28 KLD for green area (1105.63 sq. yards) is as per 36 KLD per acre and as the land in Faridkot district is of sandy loam type therefore proposed utilization seems inline.
7. The geo-coordinates of the colony are 30.439773, 74.883085.
8. As per the feasibility report submitted by the colony the dry waste (including sanitary waste) and other wastes (such as e-waste, battery waste, etc.) will be lifted to MC Jaitu. Condition of the same may be imposed.
