Sir, Pointwise reply of the observation raised by the Competent Authority is as under: -
1. Yes, units falls under Major Accident Hazard (MAH) industries.
2. Yes, the industry has approved on site emergency plan.
3. Copy of emergency plan got approved by the industry is enclosed herewith.
4. The industry is a Large scale unit operating at site since 1998 and this type of large industries couldn’t be operated without obtaining all necessary approvals from all statutory departments including PESO. Further approvals of PESO are pre required for Petroleum storage units. Hence, this approval is obviously available with the unit.
5. The unit is complying with the all provisions of MAH-related industries.
