As discussed, during visit to the industry it was observed that the 12 TPH boiler installed by the industry has failed to achieved revised emission standards as prescribed by MoEF & CC vide notification dated 16.05.2023. The industry is using pet coke as fuel in boilers thermopac installed. No separate storage room has been provided for fuel storage. The fuel is being stored in the boilers area along with ash generated which are reused as fuel…… Further, the industry has not submitted third part audit report to access the actual discharge capacity of the dyeing unit…………. the industry is not complying with the provisions of the Air Act, 1981 and there is no such major violation under the Water Act, 1974……..
It is therefore recommended as under:
1. Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for production of Dyeing of Polyester Fabrics/Cloths @ 24750 Kgs/day, Dyeing Of Pc Fabrics/Cloth @ 8100 Kgs/day and Dyeing/Washing Of Garments @ 3600 Kgs/day, with discharge of trade effluent @ 1980 KLD into CETP and domestic effluent @ 20 KLD into CETP, with suitable conditions and specific that the industry will submit third part audit report to access the actual discharge capacity of the dyeing unit, to the Regional Office of the Board within one month……………
2. Show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 be issued to the industry with an opportunity of personal hearing before Chairperson of the Board………..
