It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit engaged in the process of manufacturing of cycle parts involving the process of cutting, drilling, machining and stone barreling with caustic barreling.
Earlier the industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/LDH1/2021/15622860 dated 28.04.2021 valid upto 31.03.2026 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH1/2021/15623142 dated 28.04.2021 valid upto 31.03.2026 under red category for the manufacturing of the Handle Lung / Handle Stem / Handle I Bolt / Handle D-Nut etc. @ 3000 Kgs/day and lifting of untreated effluent @ 3000 Ltr./month to JBR
. Now, the industry has applied for varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 under red category with revised agreement @ 2000 ltr/month.

The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 16.03.2026 and it was observed as under:- 1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in manufacturing of bicycle parts involving the process of cutting, machining and stone barreling. 2. The industry has made an revised agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana& for lifting its trade effluent generated from barreling section @ 2000 Ltr/month and domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. Hence it is an existing unit. 3. The industry has installed water meter at the pipeline in the process area and reading was 136.09 KL. 4. The industry has provided three storage tanks for effluent of capacity 1000 Ltr each, during visit around 800 ltr effluent was lying in tanks, 5. The industry has maintained the record of water meter reading regarding consumption & effluent lifted to M/s JBR Technology Pvt. . 7. The industry has installed two DG sets of capacity 63 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height
. 8. The industry is complying with the provisions of previous consents grant to it under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
9. The industry is located designated industrial Zone i.e. Focal Point, Phase-5, Ludhiana. Approved building plan attached.
In view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & under Air Act, 1981 be granted to the industry up to 31.03.2031 with suitable conditions and special condition the industry will renew the agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana time to time. (Competency SEE, Ludhiana) |
